Oyster Culture Bioremediation

Powerful Marine Biofilters

Oysters filter 100gallons each day and live over 20 years.

"Turning Pollutants into Pearls"

Oysters sequester pollutants with nacre secretions, creating pearl coated micro-packets of pollutants that are rejected as a pseudo-feces that sinks them to the bottom.

We measure Pacific Triploid Oyster's ability to filter specific pollutants from the water column to develop a quantifiable, nature-based water treatment model that can be applied to improve coastal water quality at scale.
