Oyster float tax credit:
A credit that can be claimed against a Maryland state income tax for the cost of new aquaculture oyster floats. The credit is equal to the purchase price of the floats, up to a maximum of $500 per year for individuals or $1,000 per year for couples filing jointly.

Oyster aquaculture credit: A credit that can be generated for oysters harvested and sold. The amount of the credit depends on the size of the oyster. Larger the oyster, longer in the water equals more valuable credit. The Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) reviews applications and verifies credits, which are then published on the Water Quality Trading Register and Marketplace for sale.
